The stuff you're actually wondering.

Will my dealership have a problem with this?

It is just like using your own phone, because you are. Relay gives you a dedicated number and inbox for your leads, then helps you reply faster. It does not replace the store CRM or require an install. If your store has a specific texting policy, follow it.

How do leads get into Relay?

Four ways. Forward your lead emails from AutoTrader, CarGurus, or your dealer site once and they flow in automatically. Paste any lead text and Relay fills in the details. Import a CSV or your contacts. Or customers text and call your Relay number directly.

Does it work with our CRM?

Yes. You forward your leads in or import them, so it works no matter what the store uses. It does not replace anything, it just makes you faster.

Is the AI going to sound like a robot to my customer?

It texts in your voice with your inventory, and you can read every message, jump in any time, or shut it off for a conversation with one tap. You stay in control.

Can I turn the AI off?

Any time. Pause it for a single conversation with one tap, turn auto-reply off entirely, or set quiet hours so your line goes silent on a schedule you pick.

Do I get my own number?

Yes. We set you up with a dedicated number for texting and calling. It’s yours while you’re on Relay, your customers always see the same one, and it’s month to month so you can cancel anytime.

How much do texts and calls cost?

They come out of one included balance: about 1,900 texts a month on Starter and about 3,600 on Pro, with calls pulling from the same balance. If you run hot you can top up any time, and your usage stays visible so the bill is never a surprise.

Is there a contract?

No. Both plans are month to month and you can cancel anytime.

Does replying faster actually matter?

More than anything else you can control. Research on lead response found reps are roughly 21 times more likely to qualify a lead when they respond in five minutes instead of thirty, and a third or more of sales go to whoever answers first. Relay exists so that first reply never depends on you being free.

Is texting leads like this legal?

Relay is built for normal sales follow-up with opt-outs and consent handling in the background. You still use it the way you would use your own phone: text people who asked to hear from you, stop when they opt out, and keep control of the conversation.
